A simple system for producing plankton in the natural food chain. Microalgae are cultivated using light, fertilizer and the carbon dioxide content of the air. The microalgae can be fed directly to filter feeding animals or used to breed zooplankton. The 10w LED provides sufficient light for a good breeding rate and if the nutrient rate is sufficient, the algae mass can quadruple in 24 hours. The plankton light reactor II has a volume of approximately 5 litres. It is equipped with two connections for simultaneous supply of air and CO2, a holder for a pH probe in the lid to control pH if adding CO2. There is a hose with dosing clamp for partial removal of plankton. A small air pump is required for aeration. Dimensions: Height 560mm x Diameter 150mm
